Our thanks to the staff at CSU. They have been fantastic. They have allowed us to use a lovely room at CSU. It is situated in building 802 upstairs but don't worry there is a lift.
When coming from Port at the roundabout near the hospital keep going down Oxley Dve towards and past Lake Innes shopping center and turn left at the little roundabout into Major Innes Rd take the second left and on the right is a parking area. Park there. From the car park cross back over the road walk 5 paces and turn left. There is a large burgundy building facing you. Cross the grass and enter the building area past the wall facade. Turn left and then the door on the right will allow you access to the lift. On exiting the lift go left and around the corner. There will be an open room. This is us.
From Laurieton it is probably best to go up the highway to the Do-nut. Turn right towards Port. At the next roundabout turn left into Oxley Dve. Keep going until you reach the small roundabout. Turn Right into Major Innes Rd (passing Coles on your left). Take second left and park in the carpark on your right. Then, as above.
Welcome to PPBC Web Page. Our Bridge Club is a private club. This means that we do not accept visitors and only members are welcome. To become a member you need to be invited by the owner. Not for any elitist reasons but because we want to ensure that we have a general session with players of all abilities.
We now have a permanent location for our club. The Charles Sturt University (CSU) has kindly given us permission to use their building in the main Campus. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts; for a while there I thought we were going to have to fold. However they came to our rescue.
We still start at the same time 12.15 be seated for a 12.30 start. The chairs are very comfortable and the air conditioning is perfect. We are so lucky.
We will provide cheeses, dips and coffee/tea and wine at the end of the day. I am providing the wine free of charge in the hope that you will contribute something for the CSU scholarship fund that I intend to donate to every year.We need to collect $3000.
Our Club Rooms
If your partner is not available you can still play as we will provide one for you. However, this is not a substitute for having a regular partner. The game will start at 12.30pm so you need to be seated at 12.15 and finish about 4.30 to give us time for socialising
We have few rules at our bridge club. Poor behavior to ones partner or opposition will not be tolerated. The only time the hands are to be discussed is if the opposition instigate it.
You are welcome to drink alcohol at the table if you are prepared to risk a poor result!!
